Body styles
At this point we’re offering one unique Astha body style in three different variations, the A-B Sloped and the A-B Flat and the A-B Bevel. Both body styles are available as a 4 or 5 string bass with Solid body or Semi hollow body with a solid centre section. The semi hollow body offers similar sustain but is not as heavy as the solid body.
The prices vary between US$700-1800.-, all depending on woods, pick-ups and many other details.

Pick-ups: High-End Häussel Bass Bar in Ebony
A-BS (Bass Sloped)
A book matched 2-piece solid body (usually in Mahogany) with a nice figured 3mm top that is “sloped” down where your right arm sits for a maximum playing comfort. Additionally both cutaways are rounded up into the top which makes playing in the highest frets very comfortable.
The back edges are well rounded and the “belly curve” helps to have the guitar nicely sit in position when played on a strap.
This bass comes with either one or two German Bass Bar Humbuckers in Ebony with Master Volume/Tone controls and a 3-way switch of there are two pick-ups.
A-BF (Bass Flat)
A book matched 2-piece solid body (usually in Mahogany) with a nice figured 3mm top. The top on this body type is totally flat and is enhanced with top edge bindings in a wood that bring out a nice contrast.
The back edges are well rounded and the “belly curve” help to have the guitar nicely sit in position when played on a strap.
This bass usually comes with either one or two German Bass Bar Humbuckers in Ebony with master Volume/Tone controls and a 3-way switch of there are two pick-ups.

A-BF (Bass Bevel)
A book matched 2-piece solid body (usually in Mahogany) with a nice figured 3mm top. The top on this body type is totally flat and is enhanced with top edge bindings and an additional arm and two cutaway bevels in the same wood as the bindings that brings out a nice contrast.
The back edges are well rounded and the “belly curve” help to have the guitar nicely sit in position when played on a strap.
This bass usually comes with either one or two German Bass Bar Humbuckers in Ebony with master Volume/Tone controls and a 3-way switch of there are two pick-ups.

Pick-up options
The High-End Häussel Bass Bar Humbucker is a super versatile Bass pick-up which will fit in nicely into any music style when adjusted accordingly. It will reach from a very punchy modern sound to a warm fat grumble. The Bass Bar is a splittable Humbucker which means it can be switched between a Humbucker, Single Coil or as Double Single Coil sound. So even with one pick-up there is quite the variety of sounds possible, especially along with the tone control pot. With two of them installed you get even a lot more sound variations plus slapping will be much easier.
The standard wiring with one Bass Bars installed is with one master Volume and Tone control with an additional three way switch for Humbucking, Single Coil Double Single Coil sound.
For the double bass bar the typical wiring would one master Volume and one push-pull Tone control (for splitting the Humbuckers) and one three way switch for selecting the bridge, neck or both positions.
Custom set-ups are all possible on request.
